US Quality Furniture Services is a nation service company, based in Houston, TX., in business for almost 30 years. What we do is partner with furniture retailers like La Z Boy, Macy’s dept stores, Ashley Furniture and others, to provide their In-Home Service. As an example, if your favorite LZB recliner no longer works, we teach you how to diagnose and repair it in the customers’ home.
This is a full time, employment position. We have benefits including several insurance options, paid vacation, and paid holiday as well.
We provide our technicians with a smart phone, with our app programmed in, and schedule, confirm, then dispatch routes to you based on where you live.
Your day consists of leaving home and going to your first stop, perform the service, filling out a basic report- what’s wrong, what you did, any follow up needed; then moving on to your next stop. Once you are done with your last stop, you’re done for the day. We don’t have local offices around the country, so we first look for someone that can work independently.
Our technicians use their own vehicle for service that we pay you for.
We do not carry, deliver, or haul furniture. What you would have with you is a basic tool kit, some supplies for repairs, (for example touch up supplies. We would teach you to repair scuffs/ scrape, etc., on wood and leather furniture.) Our team also carries some stock parts , so we can resolve the customers issues on the 1st visit.
We have a fully paid training program that starts with ride along training with a trainer in your area to introduce some repairs, learn how we fill out reports, etc. Then we bring you to Houston to teach you the skills of our trade. We do this for two reasons. First, we have a training center and trainer that will teach you the skills you will need to become successful. Secondly, and just as important, you will spend time with different departments to learn how we receive service requests, schedule, dispatch calls to you, and what happens after your service. It is important to us that you have a good understanding how our business works from A to Z so you are more knowledgeable about the company you are an important part of.
Our service technicians average 10 stops per day and the average service call is about 30 minutes . All managers have come from field service, and are here to make sure you have the support to be successful
